The Busy Honeybee

The flower garden was bursting with colour. Red poppies nodded in the breeze, purple lavender swayed like tiny dancers, and bright yellow sunflowers turned their faces toward the warm sun. Zaynab was kneeling beside a pink rose, breathing in its sweet smell, when she heard a soft buzzing sound.

"Omar, come here!" she whispered, waving her hand. "There's a little bee on this flower." Omar came bounding over, his shoes crunching on the gravel path. Musa the cat, who had been dozing in a patch of sunlight, opened one golden eye and padded over to see what the fuss was about. But he kept a respectful distance — Musa was a wise cat, and he knew bees were not to be bothered.

"Look how busy she is," Zaynab said softly. The honeybee was moving carefully from petal to petal, her tiny body fuzzy and golden, her wings shimmering like glass in the sunlight. She dipped her head into the centre of the flower, then buzzed to the next one, and the next.

"Why is she working so hard?" Omar asked, tilting his head. "Doesn't she ever stop to rest?" "Let's follow her," Zaynab said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Maybe she's going somewhere special." The children crept quietly along the garden path, watching the bee travel from flower to flower. She visited the daisies, the buttercups, and the tall blue delphiniums. Each time, she lingered for just a moment, as if saying a tiny thank you to the flower, before moving on.

"She's like a little postman," Omar giggled, "delivering messages to every flower!" Zaynab smiled. "Or maybe she's collecting something. Look — see how her legs look a little yellow?" Mother appeared at the garden gate, a watering can in her hand. She watched the children for a moment, her heart full of love, then walked over to join them. "What are my little explorers discovering today?" she asked gently.

"A bee, Mama!" Omar said, pointing. "She's flying to every flower and we don't know why!" Mother knelt down between them, the smell of roses and fresh earth all around. "The bee is collecting nectar," she explained. "Nectar is a sweet liquid inside flowers. She drinks a little, and then she carries it back to her home — her hive." "And then what?" Zaynab asked, her eyes wide.

"Then," Mother said, her voice soft and full of wonder, "Allah teaches her how to turn that nectar into honey. She didn't go to school. No one showed her a book. Allah, Al-Hakeem, The Most Wise, placed that knowledge inside her tiny heart." Omar's mouth opened in amazement. "Allah taught the bee?" he whispered. "But she's so small!"

"Allah's wisdom is bigger than the biggest mountain and smaller than the tiniest seed," Mother said. "He created the bee with everything she needs to do her important job. And do you know what else?" The children shook their heads, eager to hear more.

"When the bee visits flowers, she helps them too," Mother continued. "She carries pollen from one flower to another — like a tiny helper — so the flowers can grow into fruits and vegetables. Without bees, we wouldn't have apples, or strawberries, or tomatoes!" Zaynab looked at the bee with new eyes. "So she's helping the flowers AND making honey?"

"Yes," Mother said, smiling. "Everything Allah creates has a purpose. Nothing is made without wisdom. The bee has a job. The flower has a job. The sun, the rain, the soil — they all work together because Allah, Al-Hakeem, designed them perfectly." Musa the cat sat down beside them, his tail wrapped neatly around his paws, and watched the bee with what looked like admiration.

"Mama," Omar said thoughtfully, "if Allah made the bee so clever, what else did He make with wisdom?" Mother stood up and took their hands, walking slowly through the garden. "Look around," she said. "The ant who carries food many times her own size. The spider who spins a perfect web. The bird who builds a nest without a teacher. The fish who swims in the deep ocean where there is no light. Every creature knows what to do because Allah, The Most Wise, taught it."

Zaynab squeezed Mother's hand. "And He made us too," she said. "Yes, my love," Mother said, bending to kiss her forehead. "He made your curious mind, Omar's brave heart, and the love we share as a family. Every single thing is from His wisdom."

That evening, as Mother stirred a spoonful of golden honey into their warm milk, Zaynab and Omar watched the honey swirl and disappear. "Thank You, Allah," Zaynab whispered. "Thank You for the bee. Thank You for the flowers. Thank You for Your wisdom." "SubhanAllah!" Omar added, his voice bright and happy. "Al-Hakeem is amazing!" Musa purred from his spot by the fire, and outside in the garden, the little honeybee rested in her hive, another perfect day of Allah's wise creation complete.
